I think I learned about wigs from a search site while researching. Also, a man who was visiting the cancer center was wearing a scarf hat, and I might have been prompted by hearing, 'Oh, there are hats like that.'

――Please tell us what prompted you to participate in this fitting event.
While I wanted BAREN's products, I was unsure if I could wrap it well myself and didn't know which patterns or types were good, so I wanted to try it on. I heard there was a physical store in Tokyo, so I was planning to go, but it wasn't at the hospital I go to, and since it was a hot season, I couldn't take action for a while. When I learned there was a fitting event, I immediately applied.
Comparison with full wigs
――I hear you usually wear a full wig, but how was it actually wearing the scarf hat?
It's really cool anyway. It was so much more comfortable compared to the heat of a full wig. Usually, I'm in an air-conditioned company, so it's still okay, but even just walking outside made me sweat a lot, and I was wondering what measures to take.
About using it at work
――Will you be going to work wearing a scarf hat in the future?
Since I have to wear a uniform when commuting by car, I want to use it when going out. As a weekend pleasure, I think I would like to dress up and wear it when going out.

――How was the fitting event with people you met for the first time?
It was good because everyone was in a similar situation, undergoing chemotherapy, and they were people I could empathize with. Even though I look like this, it was a reassuring time to share feelings with others who have had similar experiences, thinking, 'This is how it is.'
The progress of treatment and its impact on work
――How did treatment affect your work?
Since my children are older, I didn't have much concern for my family, but I was most anxious about work. In a situation where it's hard to find a replacement, the company said, 'You can use reduced hours,' but even if I used reduced hours, I still had to do my work, and it just kept piling up, so I ended up working normally.
During chemotherapy, I had a fever and took about 3 to 4 days off in total, but surprisingly, I was able to work without much difficulty, which surprised me. My body was in good shape, to the point where the doctor said, 'You're strong.'

It was cooler than I expected, and the texture was really nice. I was surprised that it was okay to wear it directly. Having just one piece is also nice.

I bought a wig first, but if I had known about this earlier, I think I would have encountered it sooner if it had been placed in the hospital's pamphlet rack or information corner.

At first, I intended to buy something dark or plain, but when I actually tried it on, I found that patterned items were cuter than I had expected.
